March weather

March brought us 20 inches of snow. Anna made her first snowman-she was scared to be alone with it !
The snow quickly melted. Here we are after a walk. Anna is completely out!
I couldn't leave out a picture of JamesyBoy. He is still just so smiley and adorable.

'Moom Portrait' by Anna

This is Anna's lovely picture of me: complete with moles, anatomically female, and menstruating. She also wrote my name, "Moom."

Cooking (eating) night out

Dave and I had a fabulous time at Mosaic Foods, a catering company that hosts cooking classes. We went to "East meets West" and made (actually, I just watched while drinking wine) seared tuna in lemongrass, grilled prawns, asian salad, roasted carrots, jasmine rice, cashew encrusted mahi-mahi, and poached pears with green tea ice cream. We had a blast! Jen took the kids for the evening, and they didn't even care when we left. We are lucky to have a wonderful sitter!

March blizzard

It only took me 25 minutes to get the kids dressed and ready to go sledding last night. There was a huge snow (about 10-12 inches) and it was fresh powder. James was not cooperating at all putting on his snow pants, boots, or mittens. I actually never got the boots on his feet. Anna was a doll. James refused to ride in the sled with Anna. So I ended up pushing him in the babyjogger and pulling Anna on the sled. There was nobody else out, of course! It was a beautiful evening. James fell right asleep. Dave loved every minute of using his new snowblower.
